Reminder that what the Once-ler chose to do with all his money was build a place where he’d fit in.
Where everyone would have everything they could possibly need
Just like he didn’t.
Where people sang and danced all the time
So he wouldn’t be doing it alone.
And he’d be the centre of attention
Without being the object of ridicule.
That was his dream, and with all the money in the world, he built a place where he’d be happy.
And he never got to see it.
He laughed at her comment, already used to destruction in his own way. After all he did save the world with his partner multiple times hadn’t he? “I love to travel.” he began when she asked. “I enjoy learning about different people culture and food not quite bad either.” he sighed thinking about it. “Sometimes I go back thinking if I should go back to doing it but.. I am not sure it will feel the same as before..” and turn to look at her. “I am married so..” and smiled.
-Maybe he can go with you the nest time you travel somewhere, nyu…- *walking with him* -It could be really interesting for you two, nyu… And eat a lot of new things, nyu. Besides, you would be far from all the noise, specially the neighbors, nyu… Like vacations or a honey moon, nyu!!-
He sighed and nodded. “I was. The darkness… while it could be comforting at times, it was kind of scary.” He winced a little at the mention of his body. “Yes… I’m afraid my body did, technically, die. It was buried in a tomb.” He was quite impressed with her questions. She was very smart.
He smiled. “Yes, I am not alone now. I am so very happy to be with Yuugi.”
-Sounds like a nightmare, nyu… The void most have been very deep, nyu… *She can see that he’s been so lonely, but he looks so happy talking about his boyfriend*
